Lincoln Mountain Open Space is a many-acre piece of land preserved as open space through a conservation easement administered by the Douglas Land Conservancy (DLC). The land is actually owned and maintained by the Douglas County Open Spaces.
The land was once inhabited by First Peoples from the Arapahoe and Comanche tribes. It was then used as a cattle ranch when European settlers moved into the area in the mid-19th century.
